CONDITIONS FOR USE OF MARKET FACILITIES
By entering the premises of the Maryland Wholesale Seafood Market, all Market users and visitors are deemed to agree to be subject to the Maryland Wholesale Seafood Market Policies and Procedures as a condition of use of the Market facilities.

The Market Policies, Procedures and associated charges are subject to change without prior notice at the discretion of the MFCA.

Section A: General
The following persons are to be permitted free entrance to the Market: mail men, vendors, newspaper men, service companies and MFCA agents and employees. All service firms and prospective applicants must have an appointment with the firm they are to visit.

Section B: Passes
An annual Buyer Registration pass is a privilege issued to the person or company who frequently uses the Market facilities.

A Tenant/Employee pass is intended to admit tenants and their employees to the Market to work in their designated work areas and perform the duties of their employment.

A Tenant/Registration pass is issued to vehicles registered or leased by tenants for their operation.

Vehicles carrying office supplies and equipment, which are to be used directly by a tenant in carrying out his/her business activities within the Maryland Wholesale Seafood Market, are exempt from paying an entrance charge.

Any vehicle, registered or unregistered, entering the Market while carrying/containing merchandise for resale must pay the truck entrance charge specified (see Section H).

Section C: General Information

Parking
Vehicles owned by employees and visitors must park their vehicles in designated spaces. Vehicles owned by Market employees are not permitted to be parked in front of the dock area or on either side or in front of the emergency gates. Non-compliance may result in a fine.

Deliveries
All deliveries into the Market must be for a current Seafood Market tenant. Non-tenants are not permitted to transfer product to another non-tenant. This is considered "off-loading," which is not permitted on Market property. Off-loading may result in forfeiture of Market privileges.

Deliveries are permitted into the Market after hours only when an agent or an employee of the tenant receiving the delivery is on the premises. Normal hours for unloading agents are Sunday and Wednesday, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and Monday, Tuesday and Friday beginning at 10:00 p.m. or as scheduled by a tenant.

Littering
Littering in the Market is prohibited. Anyone observed disposing of or bringing garbage into the Market to discard may forfeit Market privileges and be charged, starting at $500.00.

Prohibitions
Solicitation and any unlawful activity is prohibited within the Maryland Wholesale Seafood Market.

Open containers of alcohol and/or illegal drugs are NOT permitted on Market premises at any time.

Section D: Buyers
Buyers who frequently buy at the Market may purchase an annual Buyer Registration pass for entrance into the Market at a cost of $400.00 for the primary vehicle. Additional passes may be purchased for companies, at a cost of $50.00, provided that a valid vehicle registration card is provided to verify each additional vehicle being registered with the same company. Buyers who have an annual Buyer Registration sticker and are buying from the Market may enter without paying the entrance charge during normal buying hours except when the Buyer is also making a delivery, and then is subject to a delivery charge. Registration charges are pro-rated quarterly, and are non-refundable.

A Buyer replacement pass is $1.00 (non-refundable). The Buyer must provide proof that the vehicle is out of service, has been traded or the windshield has been replaced.

Buyers must affix a current year annual Buyer Registration sticker to the inside of the windshield on the driver's side of the vehicle so that it is clearly visible to Market Security when entering the Market.

The Market is open to Buyers Monday through Saturday, 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and all Sundays from Mother's Day until Christmas, 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. (Sunday hours are subject to change without notice). During this time, Buyers may move freely throughout the Market and conduct business with the various wholesalers and retailers.

Security may deny entrance to any wholesale Buyer if verification is not provided from a wholesaler after 11:00 a.m. Security will request and may verify which wholesaler the Buyer is there to see. Buyers who enter the Market after 11:00 a.m. are not permitted to roam throughout or linger in the Market.

Any violation in use of the sticker may result in forfeiture of the charges paid and denial of future privileges to purchase an Annual Buyer Registration Sticker.

Failure to observe Market Policies and Procedures may result in forfeiture of Market privileges.

Section E: Tenant Employee Pass
Tenant/Employee Pass is free for the first pass, replacement passes are $15.00. Employees are not to linger in the Market when not at work, nor to interfere with the business activities of any tenant.

Section F: Tenant Delivery Truck
A Tenant Delivery Truck pass is $100.00. Proof of ownership for each vehicle is required. Vehicles registered must have a current year sticker affixed to the passenger side windshield, clearly visible to Market Security. Failure to comply with this procedure may result in forfeiture of registration charges paid and Market privileges.

Section G: Charges
All Seafood tenant Market delivery vehicles (used to make deliveries of product outside of the Market) must purchase an annual Tenant/Delivery Registration pass for $100.00, per vehicle, pro-rated quarterly, and non-refundable.

Anyone found littering is subject to a fine/charge of $500.00.

A trailer dropped on the bituminous parking area without wooden supports under its landing gear may be subject to a fine/charge of $100.00 plus cost to repair damage to parking area. This policy is in effect year round.

Section H: Sanitation
Buyers may not dispose of any garbage, or litter onto the ground, or any other surface within the Seafood Market.

Section I: Safety
At no time shall tenant, its agents or employees exceed the posted speed limit in the Market.

Section J: Miscellaneous
Tenant shall not permit any employee or invitee to use the Leased Premises or the Market for off loading or unloading seafood or other products other than for sale or purchase by tenant.

Solicitation and any unlawful activity is prohibited within the Seafood Market. Illegal drugs and open containers of alcohol are not permitted on the Market premises at any time.

All deliveries into the Market must be for a Market tenant. Non-tenants are not permitted to transfer product within the Market.

Tenant/Employee passes are intended to admit employees to the Market to work in their designated work areas and perform the duties of the employment. Employees are not to linger in the Market when not at work, nor to interfere with the business activity of any tenant.
